the band that never was but should be housed in a schoolroom practicing on the goodwill of one man who didn’t want to be there but only told us at the final gate when he stood on stage and didn’t play his part but why when his part was so loved and so essential to the whole was it maybe that he took some kind of offence at the way it went because it was derailed from the start with no sense of where it was going or how it was going to get there except that it was in the image of a half-decayed mule staggering along a mountain path being the most terrifying and wonderful sight for the unwitting traveller or second guitarist of which there were two but both of them bailed even before joining and we never did get some reasoning off either of them and some would say it’s because they were scared and with that we would agree because when we got going there was little room to move without risking some tummble off the edge and down the cliff he goes bouncing on the rocks and not singing as he loses his head again and again but making some kind of noise and any kind of noise will do so long as it’s the sound of your boots coming back safe from some adventure when you really want to come back steve…..
